Before I Die Review

Tessa is diagnosed with Leukimia and has only a limited time to live. The best she decides to do for herself is to get on with life, not dying. So, she makes a list of things to do before she dies. As the list keeps gettting longer and longer with more things to do, she meets Adam, a boy next door only living with his mother. Just as Tessa is living with her father, and Cal, her brother. Becoming more fond and fond of Adam, she realizes love is a precious thing. Her friend sticks with her through out half of the list, but becomes mad when Tessa just blows everything off. Doing drugs, breaking the law, and "meeting" up with boys she doesnt really know, she learns that her best friend is pregnant. As Tessa becomes more sicker and sicker, she becomes more fond of her bead throughout the days, and the love her and Adam made in it. She is realizing death isnt a bad thing, but a beautiful thing as well.

This book was well written and i loved it! 10/10 is my rating, but it was very sad at the end. It made me realize that life is such a precious thing, and you only get one. No matter how short or long life is, you should always cherish the memories made.

Truancy (review from back of book)

In an alternate wourld, in a nameless totalitarian city, the autocratic Mayro rules the school system with an iron fist, witht the help of his Educators. Fighting against the Mayor and his repressive Educators is a group of former studaents called the Truancy, whose goal is to take down the system by any means possible--at any cost....

Against this backdrop, fifteen year old Tack is just trying to survive. His days are filled with sadistic teachers, unrelenting schoolwork, and indifferent parents. Things start to look up when he meets Umasi, a mysterious boy who runs a lemonade stand in an uninhabited district, who eventually becomes Tack's mentor.

Then someone close to Tack gets killed in the cross fire between the Educators and the Truants, and tack vows to avenge her. He joins the Truancy in order to kill Zyid, the enigmatic leader of the Truancy, who dismissed the death as "collateral damage." But tack soon finds himself torn between his desire for vengeance and his growing sympathy for the Truants.

Thios book was action packed, and something i could never dream up and write about. I loved this book. It had tons of action, and serious things all at once (if that makes sence :) ) I rate this book 10/10. I have never rread anything as adventrous as this. And get this!!!! A 16 year old wrote it!!!! A little over 430 paged book made by a 16 year old would be soemthing i wouldnt really want to read. I was thinking there would be mess ups, and silly things i wouldnt want to read about. But that changed as soon as i read the first page!!!! You have to read this!!!

Wake (back of book review)

For 17 year old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobady-notices dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a life time. She cant tell anybody about what she does- they'd never believer her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.

Then she falls into a gruesome night mare, one that chills hger to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness so someone else's twisted psyche. She is a paricipant....

I liked this book, but it wouldn't be something i would totally recemend. I might read the sequel "Fade" but I dont know if i'll like it as much. I rate it 8/10.

The Patron Saint Of Butterflies

This book takes place in a religous commune called Mt. Blessing. In this commune there are strict rules for living properly. Rules are to show who you are on the inside instead of dressing yourself in the finest clothes on the outside. When Agnes and Honey become friends they go through everything together. They have different attitudes and views of things. Agnes for instances wants to become a Saint, and Honey just wants to leave all this "nonsense". So when Agnes' Grandamother comes to visit she finds out about the Regulation Room. This room is where all the kids are punished for wrong doings. And when Agnes' little brother's finger gets cut off from a door, the head person of Mt. Blessing does a "miracle" on his finger and "fixes" it. That is when Agnes' grandmother takes charge and has Honey, Agnes, and the little brother head to Texas. Once they get there the secrets unravel. Find out when you read this!!! This is the BEST book i have EVER read!!!!! you have to read it!!!!I rate this book 10/10. It has unsuspected twists and turns, and shows how brave a famly can go to get so far in life. Turning away from where you have lived since you were born must be tough, but finding out the secret between two friends must be harder. You have to read this.

The Road

A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselces against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food-and each other.

My thoughts- I loved this book and it was one of those books that made me cry a little in. This book really makes you think hard about the world and unlocks mysteries of what could happen in the end. I always thought that the end of the world would be cool to witness, but sinced I read this book, I think differently. I highly recommend you guys read this book. It is by far one of the best books ever written.

*note* I used the review on the back because it has been a while since i have read this: I still put my own thoughts in this though.

And will Hershey find a better way to fill herself with something else instead of Cheetos?
this book was one of the best books i have ever read in my entire life. It made me want to cry, laugh, cheer, and scream. Hershey deals with many comments about the way she lives and looks, and finds a new way in life, other than packaged food. I loved this book so much, and Cecila Galante is one of the best authors out there. I highly recommend anyone to read this.
